I’ll never understand the design with bow in an extra “attachment”. Is it really easier? How much space/weight does it save? Says “bow case is detachable”. But under what circumstances will you not need the bow? Pizzicato the entire concert? To me it’s much safer and faster to put the bow inside the same case.

Hab einen "Gewa Carbon Viola Etui" Koffer, in "Military Grey", habe ihn mit einem "großen C-Schlüssel-Aufkleber " beklebt und auch" bunt angemalt", sodass es nicht zu sehr à la Bundeswehr,oder US-Army ausschaut,habe ihn damals gegen meinen "alten Koffer, auch Gewa" die 90'er Jahre "Stoffkoffer-Version' ausgetauscht, da er ksputt ging, und beim Corona-Highlife keine abderen Koffer gab, bzw nein Geigenbauer, keine neuen bekommen hat im Highlife,war nach Lockdown 1. Und er hatte nur noch wenige und wollte einen Formkoffer haben,er hatte ihn nur nich in dieser Farbe,bin noch die Generation der Wehrpflicht, habe "Zivi" gemacht 1999/2000, (da warst Du noch sicherlich ganz Klein),um ein wenig "fröhlicher " zu gestalten! Es ist ein "Gewa Air Luthier-Formetui Koffer". Nochmals vielen Dank für die interessante Info, gibt es diesen Koffer auch für Viola? 🤔, wäre toll, irgendwann mal in Zukunft ihn zu kaufen. wish the new viola case had a shoulder rest strap inside. Took 4 years to add the much-needed subway handle, something standard on the Gewa Pure cases line. Worst part of the case? No grip to the bottom, so it can easy slide off of a plastic chair. Good luck!

Hello. I have this product and you know the strap that prevents the case from opening completely? This strap comes off too easily. Even if I put this back on as a glue, the strings are hanging uneasily as the inner skin drops. From korea..

Ich finde die Konstruktion spannend und im Video Clip wird viel gesprochen über die Sound Anpassungen und der Abgleich mit einem Akustik Cello. Warum offenbart man aber im Video keine reinen Solopassagen zum hören? Wo liegt das Cello im Klang letztendlich? Die letzte Passage im Clip zeigt einen Cellisten mit Kopfhörer - dazu Loops / Klangflächen auf die er spielt,.... ich finde den Klang, der hier im Video präsentiert wird, sehr eng und elektrisch und weniger natürlich. Es mag sein, dass das Cello einen natürlichen Klang abbilden kann. Bitte stellt das dann auch in den Vordergrund - elektrische Nuancen bekommt man bei jedem Instrument abgebildet mit Effekt Pedals - der natürlich Klang aber ist die Basis, die hier im Video nicht dargestellt wird. Leider bin ich doch etwas skeptisch über das Verhältnis eines qualitativ hochwertigen und viel versprechenden Bau des Cello Korpus, Wittner Mechaniken und dann doch nur einem nicht sehr innovativ eingeklemmten Piezo am Steg mit offener Kabelführung.

I’d love to have a similar one, but if I’m to pay 3000€ I’d reather wait for a model that I can FOLD to travel with without having to pay for an extra seat.

I bought a pure case then had to put my violin in the shop before I could use it. It's finally out of the repair shop and can't wait to use it!!

It's a pity there are no examples of how the cellos sound anywhere on the web! I am interested in one from Thomann, but without any sound examples to listen to or even reviews of the instruments, I don't know if I can take a chance, although the specs sound good. Gewa should seriously consider making some videos to promote their cellos if they want to increase their sales!

Just got mine! I thought it wouldn’t adjust so well like a Fiedler would but I’m positively surprised! Plus it’s cheaper, lighter and you don’t need to make holes on the case. More than enough room for my 12,9 iPad and because it’s so comfortable the case itself seem to be lighter now. Another advantage is that I can remove it easily in case a need to travel with a heavier bad on my back and carry the cello by hand, and not forget that I can also bring the carrying sistem in the backpack if I want to! Great job Gewa!
